The safari continues - sights we saw

Will include here the sights we saw and animals we got close to - an amazing time - in one day we saw 21 Mammals as well as countless birds, crocodiles, lizards, tortoise (which I saw with my wonderful eyesight from about 50m - and it was only about 30cm long), and other things which I have probably forgotten about. I have included some of my friend's as well so you get some good shots of what we have seen. Random photos so enjoy ...
Julius and I before our walk along the escarpment overlooking the Masai Mara and to the place where they stayed for making Out of Africa - which is now in ruins. Was a magnificant building and beautiful location

Having a picnic with the local cows - they sure don't worry about people!

Crowned Crane in flight

Carrying the milk from the dairy to wherever - poor donkey!

Local dried fish market

Baraton University central fountain - SDA University

Carrying bags of coal - women carry all the heavy loads if there are no donkeys

Picking tea - huge beautiful tea farms

sunset near Lake Victoria - local fishing boat

Lake Victoria

Hammercock bird at sunset

Me and some children who came to see us when we stopped

Hydroelectricity pipe

Buffalo and caalf

Bustard

New born baby in hospital we visited

Gowned up ready to have a look at the thearte in hospital

Theartre room - hope I don't need surgery!

Sterilising room - yes that is a gas cooker cooking up some cloths

typing up my diary - only comfy spot

Huge crocodile in the river

Eagle

Giraffe and Baby

These goats didn't let passing vehicles disturb their rest

Impala

These lions were were only about 4 metres from - amazing to watch them - I leaned out the window and told them to get up and after some time they finally did get up and wander around

This llama was at an old castle we visited - and raced up behind me nearly scaring me to death

Yes we saw a cheetah

Having a scratch about 3m from our vehicle

We decided to stay in the park instead of going for lunch so this was all the food we had to share between 9 of us - this is one of the guys on the trip - I was at college with him and his wife in 1979!

Giraffes and beautiful backdrop

Hippos lining up for school lessons

This hyena was right beside the road - if we had leant out the window we could have touched her, but I wasn't going to do that!

Mother and still sucking child! She is regurgitating food for it here.

Black backed jackal

Getting ready to wake up from their all day nap

We didn't see a cheetah - just its kill. The 5 in the other car saw it on their way home

Maasai girls who came and danced for us
